Come join us as we host our first ever 10 minute play slam competition. Each play will be assigned a group leader who will be responsible to have the play rehearsed and ready to be performed by the cast. The audience will vote for the best performance. Winning cast receives $100 cash prize.

Jonathan Dan Levy - JEFFERSON

Dan Levy is a founding member of NewFormat Improvisation, an artist collective based in Brooklyn, and has been a professional Improviser for the past eight years. As a BFA graduate of Syracuse University's Film-Drama program, Dan spends most of his time behind the camera, working on various productions and post-productions throughout New York City. Dan wishes to thank his family and friends for all their love and support.
Jeff Horn - DANIELS
Jeff Horn most recently appeared as Harry in the Redwine Productions staging of Prisoner of Second Avenue. In 2011 he also completed production on two independent films; Gundog, a modern Western noir by director Ed Stevens, and Green Plastic Sandals, for Producer Gerry Kim, playing the Sheriff and a Priest, respectively. Jeff will be appearing in the pilot of an untitled reality series being produced for sponsor Terra Fossil wines. He has served as a producer on several independent films, and was the Production Manager of the off-Broadway hit one-woman show Monette at the Soho Rep's Walkerspace. James Reade Venable - HENDRIX

James Reade Venable has been for acting for 14 years. He did not attend a fancy university or do time in a snooty conservatory, however he did take classes at the Wilma Theatre Studio in the city of brotherly love, and train with Salem Ludwig and Geoffrey Owens at HB Studios. James' theatre love is Shakespeare. He has worked in many off Broadway, and off off off off off Broadway productions. His last theatre gig was Ted the Plumber/Narrator in The Gayest Christmas Pageant Ever with The Alternative Theater Company. James has also appeared on SNL, Law & Order, and Strangers With Candy; and if you have a pause button on your VHS you can see him in Spike Lee's 25th Hour and an assorted number of short films. Born in Manhattan and split time in Brooklyn and New Jersey growing up, James enjoys goat-wrangling, ice sculpting, and body building. When not honing these godly skills, he writes poetry and tries desperately to make people laugh at bringer comedy shows.

Lumumba Seegars - EVAN

Lumumba Seegars graduated from Harvard University with an A.B. in Social Studies. He then taught high school math and special education in Atlanta, Georgia through Teach For America. After TFA, he moved to NYC to act and sing professionally. Currently, he is a company member of the Nitestar program, which uses theater as a means of educating youth and at risk populations about HIV/AIDS and other issues. He also works as a teaching artist in the Bronx and Harlem through The Leadership Program. He has taken classes/workshops with The Company Acting Studio (Atlanta), Negro Ensemble Company (NYC), and the RACCA Seaport Salon NYC). He has been in various musicals, plays, readings, and cabarets in both Atlanta and NYC. When not acting, Lumumba also writes and performs his own music. www.LumumbaSeegars.com

Danielle Alonzo - ESTER
Danielle Alonzo is a Bronx native who found the acting bug shortly in highschool. After graduation, she majored in English at BMCC ,which was shortlived by her undeniable urge to act! She studied in various schools, coaches, including, most recently, the Meisner technique with JoAnna Beckson. Most recently, Danielle won first prize at ' The Manhattan Monologue Slam' with an original piece. She has also performed ' The Vagina Monologues', ' The Journey' at JCAL, "How Shall We?", a reading at Playwrights Horizons. Tony Vozzo - LONNIE ANDERSON

Tony Vozzo, a native Brooklyn, New Yorker, has written, directed and produced several plays which include Walls of the Ghetto, Between Two Worlds, Psych, and more. The Revolving Door is a personal account of his life working with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. He dedicates this project to the memory of Eddie. Mr.Vozzo's future plans include a film version of The Revolving-Door, and publishing his autobiographical novel. He currently resides in Smithtown New York with his nuclear family And thanks his friends and family for their love and support..

Ashleigh Petrell - LINDA

Ashleigh Petrell began her theatrical career in Lake Tahoe, California where she directed, produced, and choreographed numerous productions with founder and mother Dee Petrell of The Lake Tahoe Children's Musical Theatre Company. That's where she fell in love with the stage and audience. She then began performing with the Lake Tahoe Community College, The Western Nevada Musical Theatre Company, & The Brewery Arts Center, with featured roles including Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Rosalia in West Side Story, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods, Marty in Grease, Minnie Fay in The Matchmaker, and Chava in Fiddler on the Roof. She was also a featured dancer in Camelot, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, The Wiz, and Carousel. Ashleigh is thrilled to be back on stage performing in NYC for the first time. When Ashleigh is not singing and dancing, she works in the music industry and loves spending time with her husband Josh and dog Hunter.
