Murder and mayhem take center stage at
a Star Trek convention where offstage actor William Shatner aka Captain
Kirk is murdered. It's up to a group of Trekkies dressed as their favorite
characters from the 1960s TV sci-fi adventure series to solve the crime.
The only problem is they are all also suspects. An interactive murder
mystery where YOU--the audience--decides whodunit. This play also pays
homage to Star Trek, even as it pokes fun of it with a cast that not only
mirrors the diversity of Trek, but is even more inclusive and makes more
pointed social comments on contemporary issues.
"Who Killed Captain Kirk?" is
different every time!
*Please note that the actual William Shatner WILL NOT be present.*

A
Star Trek fan from the age of 8, it was Captain Kathryn Janeway (of the
Federation Starship, Voyager) who first inspired Abby to become an actress.
Abby graduated from the Queen's University of Belfast in 2009 with a B.A.
in Drama/English, and pursued her career to New York, where she graduated
from The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in May. Abby enjoys
spending her time watching Shakespeare on film (particularly Branagh's
adaptations), and spoiling her two cats. She is still a little scared
of the Borg. Thank you Bryant, for always being by my side. |
